Today during math, first graders worked collaboratively to create a rectangle. The design needed to be build around the pink "double hexagon" shape. Students used their knowledge of shape attributes to find shapes with square corners. These shapes were important for solving the challenge. While this was a math challenge, it also stretched their ability to demonstrate the Wildcat Ways of intellectual risk taking and being gritty. One student commented, "When we work together, we get the job done!".
