During math today, students worked with a partner to measure different objects at stations around the room using a variety of nonstandard units. We are working on measuring accurately. Some of the strategies we use are:
- starting at the end of an object
- lining our units up end to end with no gaps between
- making sure not to overlap units
- measuring in a straight line
