Friday, April 17 is our field trip to the C&O Canal at Riley's Lock in Great Seneca Park. Students need to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Keep an eye on the weather to dress appropriately as the trip will go on rain or shine! We will eat lunch at the canal so please pack a bag lunch with disposable items.
The due date for Scholastic Book Orders for April has been extended until Friday, April 17.

WHAT: An opportunity to recognize a special occasion
in the life of your child by donating to the Seven Locks Media Center.
WHO: You honoring your child, or your child honoring
a relative, special friend or teacher.
WHY: An opportunity to honor a birthday or a special
teacher while at the same time providing new titles for the SLES library.
HOW: Donate $15.00 toward the purchase of a book.
Children will choose a book from a selection of books provided by the media
specialist. The student is the first to check out the book; then the book
returns to become part of the SLES collection that is shared by all students.
WHERE: Check should be addressed to Seven Locks ES or
SLES, $15.00; memo line: Celebration Books
WHEN: Checks accepted through Friday, April 24,
2015.
Once the money has been received, Ms. Brown and Ms. Eliason
will be purchasing and processing books. Each student will make his/her
selection during the month of May. Bookplates will be inserted in the
student’s book of choice at that time, and the student is the first one to
check out the book. Look for a flyer sent home with the students on Monday
April 13th with more information.
