Today during math we reviewed how to write tally marks. We are beginning a unit on collecting and analyzing data. Tallies are an easy and efficient way to record data.
I asked students to find things at home tonight to practice counting and tallying. This informal "homework" can be fun and easy way to become faster (and more accurate) at writing tally marks.
